1> Pray for the Church to be a strong witness of God's purpose for marriage and family, and to reach out to homosexuals with the love of Christ. Last week's decision overturning the Defense of Marriage Act, U.S. District Court Judge Joseph Tauro said the act is a federal encroachment on the right of states to define marriage. The Justice Department is tasked with defending federal laws in court, and it has said that it will continue to defend DOMA in court even as the administration fights for a congressional repeal of the law.

2> Pray that Turkey will not turn against Israel or the U.S. Pray for the U.S. and other nations to support Israel's right to defend itself. Turkey has recently taken a stand-offish approach toward the U.S. and a downright hostile attitude toward Israel. After Turkey threatened to break ties with Israel unless Israel apologized for its raid on a Turkish flotilla in late May, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urged Turkey to continue its diplomatic relations with Israel (Haaretz). But American influence over Turkey seems to be waning, as Turkey defied the U.S. in negotiating a deal to ship nuclear materials out of Iran, and then voting against the American-led sanctions on Iran in the UN Security Council. _____________________________________________
3> Pray for President Obama and other U.S. officials to recognize the necessity of dealing with terrorist motivations. In the 2010 National Security Strategy, released in late May, the Obama administration moved away from references to Islamic extremism and its role in promoting terrorism. On Monday, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy published a report rebuking the administration for its stance, saying the policy ignores the important religious motivation of terrorists. In the report, counterterrorism experts say that the U.S. is at war with more than terrorists themselves; the enemy is "the extremist ideology that fuels and supports Islamist violence." The experts warn that the U.S. is not prepared to fight the battle on these grounds.

4> Pray that U.S. intelligence and security will not be compromised by the situation with Iranian scientist Shahram Amiri. Pakistan says that an Iranian scientist who reportedly either defected to the United States or was abducted by the CIA is seeking passage back to Iran. Shahram Amiri vanished during a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia in June 2009. News reports surfaced that he had defected to the U.S. with the help of the CIA and was giving U.S. intelligence information on Iran's nuclear program. Iran claimed he had been kidnapped and was being held and tortured by the U.S.

5> Pray for successful testing of the cap to allow the Gulf oil spill to be stopped. Continue to pray for shrimpers, fishermen, small business, families, and all affected by the spill. BP is delaying pressure tests on a containment system for the oil well spewing into the Gulf of Mexico, officials announced late Tuesday night. The New York Times reports that Kent Wells, a BP senior vice president, said Wednesday that the tests, originally planned to begin Tuesday, are being delayed to give scientists more time to analyze conditions. In the tests, the company plans to close valves on the latest cap installed on the well to determine if the well can hold the pressure. If the well is damaged, closing the valves could damage it further, increasing the difficulty for the permanent solution of the relief wells currently being drilled. But if the tests show that the well can hold the pressure, the valves will remain shut, finally stopping the flow of oil for the first time since the Deepwater Horizon drill exploded on April 20, killing 11 men. ________________________________________________________

1> Pray that Hamas and other terrorist groups will not be able to acquire weapons to use against Israel. Pray for safety as the Israeli military continues to divert ships headed for Gaza. A Libyan ship bound for Gaza heeded the Israeli military's warning to redirect its course for an Egyptian port where it can be inspected. The ship's sponsor, Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation, is led by Saif al-Islam Gadhafi, son of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi. The organization says the ship is carrying 2,000 tons of aid supplies into Gaza. Israel advised the ship to dock at the Egyptian port of Arish, where its cargo can be inspected for weapons before being allowed into Gaza. Israel has maintained a blockade of the Gaza Strip for three years to keep weapons out of the hands of Hamas militants

In April the Border Sheriff's of Texas were warning of us just this very thing coming our way. Now it is here and the people of God need to speak out and prayer first to our God and then take responsible and righteous action. After reading the article are practical ways you can get involved with helping securing the borders and ending the violence along the border regions. We stand with both the people of the USA and Mexico who all desire to live peaceable and godly lives. Will you pray, write your congressmen/women, attend the Border School in Sacramento and help raise the funds required to bring greater awareness to the people of California and the Nation. Steven

Mexico Breaks Up Hezbollah Network In Tijuana
Militant group employed Mexican nationals with ties to Lebanon to target Israel and the West, Kuwaiti newspaper reports.Mexico foiled an attempt by Hezbollah to establish a network in South America, a Kuwaiti newspaper reported on Tuesday. Hezbollah operatives employed Mexicans nationals with family ties to Lebanon to set up the network, designed to target Israel and the West, the Al-Seyassah daily said.
According to the report, Mexican police mounted a surveillance operation on the group’s leader, Jameel Nasr, who traveled frequently to Lebanon to receive information and instructions from Hezbollah commanders there. Police say Nasr also made frequent trips to other countries in Latin America, including a two-month stay in Venezuela in the summer of 2008.
Nasr was living in Tijuana, Mexico at the time of his arrest, the report said.
The report follows warnings from the United States that Hezbollah and its backer Iran are stepping up operations in the region.

Innocent people in Mexico are suffering from drug cartels, from the manipulation and control of evil forces...and Americans are being murdered both in Mexico and in America by 'narco terrorists.' Because our borders are not secure, terrorists and darkness are streaming into our land, including Hezbollah. God's People need to be aware of what is actually happening at our borders and what is flowing into our land. Why? So we can pray strategically...and for those who want to take further action, contact our leaders and let our voices be heard>>>first by God, then by those in authority.
According to the Constitution, the priority of our Government is to protect us, the people, which includes securing/making safe, our borders. That is not happening.

*TUNNEL UNDER THE RIO GRANDE
*Although border security personnel have located more than 100 tunnels along the US/Mexico border in CA and AZ, in late June a tunnel was discovered that stretched 130 feet under the concrete-lined Rio Grande from Juarez into El Paso. The first man-made tunnel in this area allowed smugglers to navigate the arteries of the 300 miles of storm drains to 19 openings on the riverbank.
*CROSS-BORDER GUNFIRE HITS CITY HALL* in the US/Tx On June 29, 2010, just before 5 PM, seven bullets from a gunfight between members of a cartel and Federal Police in Juarez traveled a distance of 2800 feet to strike El Paso's City Hall.
One bullet crashed through a large glass window pane into the office of El Paso's Assistant City Manager where she was meeting with three other people. They immediately dropped to the floor and crawled out of the room.
This is the first acknowledged cross-border gunfire during the drug war that has engulfed Juarez and El Paso since 2008.
There are many U.S. citizens living between downtown El Paso and the border with Mexico who are extremely concerned about cross-border gunfire.
Cross-border gunfire has occurred on the U.S. side of the border before. Last September the University of Texas at Brownsville was closed for a weekend after a building and a parked car on campus were hit by bullets from a gunfight in Matamoros, Mexico.
Hudspeth County, Texas has also been the site of cross-border gunfire.
The California, Arizona and Texas Borders must be protected by federal law.
Here is the letter by Texas AG Greg Abbott:
Dear Mr. President,
Deadly violence from drug cartels and transnational gangs in Mexico is knocking on the United States' door with ever increasing frequency. Yesterday, gunfire from the cartels pierced that threshold and struck City Hall in El Paso. Fortunately no one was injured or killed. But that good fortune was not the result of effective border control - it was mere luck that the bullets struck buildings rather than bodies.
Luck and good fortune are not effective border enforcement policies. The shocking reality of cross border gunfire proves the cold reality: American lives are at risk. As the attached news article notes: "More than 1,300 people have been murdered in Juárez this year as a war continues relentlessly between the Juárez and Sinaloa drug cartels." Americans must be protected as this deadly war bulges at our border.
Law enforcement officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety and your own U.S. Customs and Border Protection will reveal the hard truth. Our state is under constant assault from illegal activity threatening a porous border.
*The time for talk has passed. The time for action is now. The need is urgent. Each day that passes increases the likelihood that an American life will be lost because of the federal government's failure to secure the border.
This threat demands immediate and effective action by your Administration to secure our border. As the Attorney General of Texas, I urge you to make border security your top priority so that no more innocent lives are lost to border violence.

CA PRAYER CONCERNS
While, we beseech our heavenly Father for grace, forgiveness and favor through Jesus His Son in and for California, it is obvious that we are in a season of crisis so that we dare not cover our eyes, with the notion that it will pass as others in the days of Jeremiah.
There is a need for a clear united voice in the church of California. Our tendency is to avoid the facts and shadow our thoughts when it is obvious that we are in a transition and the church must answer the call or face a growing tide of opposition from forces at work to undermine any fiber of rightousness in California.
The bottom line, is that uur children are at stake. And we need a God intervention and visitation..
The church must arise as a single united voice in California. It is God the Holy Spirit that says, we are to endeavor (act beyond what is expected) to keep (be guardians of) the Unity of the Spirit. Jesus promised that if we do, His Father will meet us.
We all say yes, yet construe prejudices that restrains His Holy Spirit promise.
We are called to be light. Jesus, said work while you have the day because the darkness comes, when no one can work.
What is happening in Arizona today, will be California tomorrow if we cover our eyes to the facts, but together we can do what is neccesary to protect our borders to make it a safe place for all that live in California. This has nothing to do with bios but all to do with the future of your children and mine.

Roman 13: All Government is established by God. All who serve in Government are ordained by Him.
In 2006, The Lord gave me an open vision of a map of the state of California dotted with various size cog like wheels all up and down the state that were turning independently of each other. He told me that He wanted me to serve the state by coordinating 1 Tim 2 focused prayer times, praying for "all men" (revival) and for "kings" (those in authority position, specifically governmental). He told me that the church would come together to pray in agreement on this, which would get their focus off of the other issues that were being used to keep them isolated in their ministries. The Lord showed me that as the various ministries, large and small in the state agreed to commit to "a one hour tarrying call a month with a 1 Tim 2 focus" He was going to release the Psalm 133 anointing and blessing on our state which would flow across the nation. The important thing was that as we cross ministry and denominational lines to pray in agreement for God's kingdom to come and His will to be done. This will be the anointing that will break the yoke holding back revival in this state.
In the early '90's myself and several other leaders in the state saw a huge body arising in California who's shadow went across the nation. I believe the Lord has shown me that now is the time God is desiring to bring that to pass and it will happen as we continue to work together for God's purposes in our state. I honor the work of the Ca. Listening Team and all of its growing components as a major part of the fulfillment of this vision. I would respectfully ask you to consider the mobilization of this prayer across our state which will also I believe this will produce the kind of prayer Brother Falany was talking about, "GOD, GOLD and GLORY" It has been my experience that when people pray along these lines, even if they didn't start out passionately praying, the Holy Spirit quickly leads them there. These prayer hours can be of any venue, at churches, in homes, at governmental centers, street corners or via, phone or video conferencing.
Secondly, I would like to confirm and affirm the work the Listening Team did regarding the elections and the candidates. Our prayers should produce action, we are to be doers of the word and not hearers only. We need to soberly acknowlege that as a church, with the exception of Proposition 8, we have failed to be the salt and light our responsibility and privilege of voting affords us. God showed me clearly decades ago, that it is very, very important to Him that we uphold His standards in our vote. I received so many affirmatons as to how helpful the information provided for the last election was and I want to affirm that it was a great service to the body of Christ in equipping them to not only vote, but vote intelligently and at least be aware of where the candidates actually stood on the various issues.
"According to the U.S. Census Bureau, as many as 35 percent of eligible Americans are not registered to vote – that’s 45 to 65 million people! Less than half of the voting-age population actually votes in any given election.
What’s worse, Christians often vote at an alarmingly low rate. For example, in 2002, the last non-presidential election year, only 43 percent of evangelical Christians actually bothered to vote.
When people of faith fail to vote, is it any wonder that policies are enacted that are contrary to believers’ core values?" I agree with each one of your heart's cry for God's kingdom to come and His will to be done in California as it is in heaven!

1) USA and CA Borders Wisdom, discernment and understanding for President Obama regarding our borders, AZ, and immigration issues including 'guest' worker programs, amnesty for illegals, etc. Also pray for the President's heart to be turned toward the Lord and for the fear of God to hit him and all those around him. A Messianic Pastor friend reminds us that oil disaster came the day after our President 'dissed' Israel at the UN. I have also been receiving warnings about an incredibly destructive earthquake of immense proportions regarding the New Madrid Fault lines... Please PRAY for PM Netanyahu's safety, FAVOR, peace, honor, and preferring one another between the two world leaders, and that the PM wiPeace and Protection including from nuclear attacks - CIA Director Leon Panetta admits Iran has enough low-enriched uranium for two nuclear bombs...ll hold fast to what God says about the land.

Numerous attempts to plug the leak have failed, and it will be at least another month before a permanent solution (the drilling of relief wells) is completed.
5) Gulf Oil Crisis update Gulf oil crisis is by no means at an end -Seventy-six days after an explosion destroyed the Deepwater Horizon oil rig, an estimated 35,000 to 60,000 barrels of crude oil is still gushing into the Gulf of Mexico each day. Numerous attempts to plug the leak have failed, and it will be at least another montOnly 25,000 barrels of oil are being recovered daily, although that number is likely to increase dramatically if a massive Taiwanese oil-skimming vessel dubbed “A Whale” is successful in its mission. “A Whale” was supposed to begin cleanup operations several days ago, but in typical bureaucratic fashion the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had to test the water it was discharging into the Gulf.
1) PRAY about the huge proposed Cordoba House, a 13 story mosque and islamic center in New York. The city has scheduled hearings at Hunter College on July 13th for the controversial proposed Cordoba mosque. It would be located two blocks away from the destruction of Twin Towers at Ground Zero. There are now approximately 2,500 mosques in the USA. Some would argue for it crying "freedom of religion!" Some argue against it saying "what a mockery to the nearly 3,000 who were killed nearby and what a tragedy an insult to their families and friends." Some have said "We were founded as a Christian nation and need to stand strong on our Godly heritage and values, no false gods before our Lord."
House/mosque. When Cordoba was a provincial capital in the Roman Empire, the site was occupied by a temple dedicated to Janus, the double-headed god of doorways and gates. Cordoba was the capital of the Spanish Muslim dynasty of the Ummayads. The 'Great Mosque of Cordoba' was founded in 785 CE, added to and expanded over the next two hundred years to make it the third largest structure in the islamic world. We say NO to the building of any structure dedicated to idols, we do not want an ungodly open doorway nor gate in New York nor anywhere else in our nation! "Blessed be the nation whose God is the LORD!" "We invite the King of GLORY to come in!" (Psalm 24) Also, we say Sharia (Islamic) Law which is based upon the Qur'an, will not come into our nation, in Yeshau/Jesus' Name we declare it, amen!
2) City of Oakland - Trial happening now in LA - Former Bay Area Rapid Transit police officer Johannes Mehserle shot and killed Oscar Grant on an Oakland train platform early New Year's 2009. A jury is deliberating whether Mehserle should be found guilty of murder or lesser offenses such as manslaughter. The trial has been tinged with racial overtures because Mehserle is white and Grant was black. This alert came from an Intercessor familiar with the case. Individuals, families and business people fear that when the verdict comes in, if people don't like it, there may be similar, even worse, violent, destructive re-occurrences of what happened when the Rodney King verdict was reached....

As I was preparing this I received a call from someone in the Capitol network that said the supervisor of the library said that only one person had called to ask them to take it down, so it would remain.
We need to flood this place with calls and faxes. If you don't live in the city, but live in the state, just remove that part from the letter.

The Pacific Justice Institute, a Sacramento-based legal defense group specializing in religious issues, has demanded the art be removed. "The purpose of the message is to directly attack and demean the foundation of the Christian faith," said Brad Dacus, president of the group. "If this had been another faith, there would be outrage."
